Líng jīng is an author of Taiwanese native ghost novels, who is majority of Taiwan folk culture for a long time as well as win the title of the famous terror writer in Chinese women. Her creative themes are focused on ghost, however, inclusive sources are not only original from Taiwan folk culture but also derived from Japan and Europe urban legend, monsters, ghosts and other legends from other country in the world. I would like to discuss her novels related with Taiwan folk culture except for foreign legends. In this study, I base on 12 novels and analysis by the methods of text analysis, document analysis and historical research method. The main purpose is to find out her theme prototypes of folk legend, faith and culture in Taiwan and to discover hidden meaning and value. This paper has a total of five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, including of research motivation and purpose, limited area of research, basic information, which let you understand her creative idea and background. And then, I cite references including Taiwan's ghost research and others. The last section of this chapter is description of research methods and organization structures in this study. In second chapter, I explain that the elements of Taiwan folk customs, beliefs, culture in her novels compare with original legend to find how she use and modify elements and to let the readers get the various endings. The third chapter is classification of types and aims of her novels to find the specific elements of legend. In the four chapter, I would like to report hidden meaning behind the culture, social value form her novels and she wants to communicate concept. The final chapter is summarized the conclusions of the above research and expect to bring out a broader research horizon.
