台灣土地面積約 36,000 平方公里,其中海拔 1000 公尺以上高山面積達
16,800 平方公里,近乎佔據一半面積,各種登山活動熱烈。當有登山者失蹤或
是失聯情況發生,往往需耗費大量人力物力進行搜救。
現有 PLB 或 Satellite messenger 也可以定位遇難者位置,但一般民眾要使用
PLB 需要一定行政程序,Satellite messenger 則是價格較為昂貴。
我們的目的為實作基於 Bluetooth Low Energy beacon 與智慧型手機之登山
定位系統。以路徑上的 iBeacon 定位位置,由智慧型手機讀取並記錄,透過網
際網路回傳,並透過低功耗藍芽交換資訊,克服山區沒有行動網路的問題。本
系統僅要求使用者攜帶智慧型手機就可以使用,以期改進登山活動不易追蹤登
山者的問題。
Taiwan’s mountain range is over half of its area. People are enthusiastic about backpacking to the mountain. When mountaineering disaster happens, the rescue team needs lots of resources to rescue the hikers. Although there are Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) and Satellite messenger which help locate the GPS position for hikers, they are expensive and inconvenient.
The purpose of this research is trying to develop a system which can track people while they hiking in the mountain. It combines smart phone with iBeacon. By putting iBeacon on the side of mountain trail, the smart phone of mountaineer can sense the iBeacon. The phone will keep these records and upload these records to server if the internet is reachable. When no internet could be reached, we implement a data exchanging mechanism which is based on Bluetooth low energy. With this implementation, the stored records can be exchanged among hikers such that the records can be forwarded down the mountain. By collecting these record, our system can locate hiker in the mountains who only carry with his or her cell phone.
