The main studying objects and directions of the thesis mainly discussed the help and effectiveness of religious rehabilitation for drug addicts. Religious treatment was to hope that addicts can reform themselves from the psychological level, and provide a full range of services physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. The addicts can successfully detoxify without drugs, through the religious power of faith, and allow the addicts to return to society. The study interviewed mainly the interviewees who received religious abstinence courses at the xx agency. Studies had found that the main life experience of drug abusers was that they were exposed to drugs mainly because of curiosity. On the other hand, stayed up late, peer pressure, feeling uncomfortable after use, most of them have experience of receiving rehab or abstinence, unable to successfully rehabilitate or abstain from treatment, the reasons for the re-use of medicine were stress and boredom. After receiving contact with religious abstinence, the original belief had changed after contact with the Christian abstinence model. In the process of abstinence, self-establishment through religion, and religious belief can help strengthen determination in the process of abstinence. At the same time, most people in abstinence treatment believe that treatment institutions provide more assistance in hardware equipment and psychological care, family members’ thinking had begun to change, and they feel too rigid about the current drug treatment center system. |
