While Zhouyi is a scripture which contains divination and oracles, it is closely releted to the interactions between Heaven and mankind. The authors of Xicizhuan deems it as a main idea of understanding Zhouyi and its comments, and further explains Zhouyi through this way. The key of establishing the relationship between Heaven and mankind is “De-virtue”, which could accomplish the ideal towards oneness of Heaven and humanity. Xicizhuan defines “De-virtue” as the Order of the cosmos and the rules of birth, and regards it as the spirit of goodness in every being, humankind as well. With this perspective, the natural world and the humanities have the same virtue as a gift. It drives people to follow the rules of the universe, and represents the great feeling of belonging to the God in human beings. The ideal of oneness of Heaven and humanity could be completed in not only one’s life, but also after life, because in the view of Xicizhuan, the virtue and the spirit are immortal. The purpose of this study is to discuss perspectives of the interactions in Xicizhuan by reviewing the literature and argumenting “De-virtue” in different angles, on the basis of “De-virtue”, the ideal of oneness of Heaven and humanit could be achieved idealy. |
