「冰塊族」這個詞最早源自於我在寫這篇小說的時候正在學校附近的田裡打工。有一天下雨我跟農夫老闆坐在小貨車裡面，他得意洋洋地說這是他對現在年輕人的觀察，我索性將其引用。作為整個畢業作品的名稱也算符合，因為後來我花了很多時間才釐清自己真正在意的應該是年輕世代的焦慮，以及對未來的某些想像，而非純粹的籃球小說或每一篇都得談到籃球。起初提議想寫以台灣籃球為主題的小說，基於這是我稍微比較了解也有愛，當下唯一可以處理的東西。

十個故事記錄了我在研究所階段的累積、學習、摸索，它是一個不斷重新思索寫作意義的過程。

The word "ice" first came from working in a field near my school when I wrote the novel. One day it rained and I was sitting in a pickup truck with the farmer's boss, and he said proudly that it was his observation of the young people now, and I asked to quote it. As the name of the entire graduation work is also true, because it took me a lot of time to figure out what I really care about is the anxiety of the younger generation and some of the imagination sought into the future, rather than pure basketball fiction or basketball in every article. At first proposed to write a novel on the theme of Taiwan basketball, based on this is a little more understanding of love, the only thing that can be dealt with at the moment.

Ten stories document my accumulation, study, groping at the research stage, it is a process of constantly rethinking the meaning of writing.
