Photography has always been my hobby. It’s uneasy for me to communicate via words, but those sentences can be expressed by creation of photography. These works of arts contain my emotions and my mindset. The 2- year course of graduate school provided me many classes with different aspects, which enhanced my ability in observing broadly and thinking deeply. I am more capable of expressing the concept of my works steadily, and the unspeakable words in my mind could be spoken out by these photos now. The theme of the study is “Blessing, farewell.” Depression flooded when facing separation, but through the transforming power of art, one can start confronting the loss, comforting the sadness, and restoring the mind back to the peaceful status. The course of mind change is the core of this series of photographic creation. While performing the creation, those moments flashed back. Again, I could have conversations with my own voice, and have another chance to heal the once wounded heart. The lost was no longer lost only but could be cherish with the eternal arts. Separation is one of the toughest issues in life. During creation, one can express the feeling. The process of performing arts required repeated disclosure of the pain. It’s not easy, but the discomfort would gradually fade, then vanish. Eventually, the events would be memorized with a different way, within mind and arts. It will be the time to say: bless you, and goodbye. Keywords: emotional status, preservation, art therapy, photographic therapy, mindfulness journal
