本研究旨在探討大學生的一般信任、社會支持與生活滿意度間的關係，以及不同背景變項大學生在一般信任、社會支持與生活滿意度上的差異情況。本研究採問卷調查法，樣本為594位台灣大專院校學生，以「一般信任量表」、「社會支持量表」、「生活滿意度量表」為研究工具，透過獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析、皮爾遜積差相關分析、多元迴歸分析進行分析，主要研究結果如下：
一、大學生視家人為身邊最重要的人，其次是朋友，再次是同學。
二、在一般信任方面，男大生之戒心顯著高於女大生；大三學生的戒心顯著高於大一學生；有打工之大學生在戒心程度上顯著高於無打工者；租賃無室友之大學生在戒心程度上顯著高於住家裡者。
三、在社會支持方面，女大生知覺到的情緒與陪伴性支持、訊息與實質性支持皆顯著高於男大生；有參與社團之大學生能知覺到的訊息與實質性支持顯著高於無參與社團者。
四、女大生之生活滿意度顯著高於男大生，而大學生的一般信任愈高、戒心程度愈低，其情緒與陪伴性支持、訊息與實質性支持以及生活滿意度皆愈高，特別是一般信任、情緒與陪伴性支持皆對生活滿意度有預測力，其中又以情緒與陪伴性支持的解釋力較強。
最後，依據本研究結果提出在諮商實務上及未來研究方向的建議，以做為大學助人工作者之參考。

The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between general trust, social support and then to predict participants’ life satisfaction. 594 college students in Taiwan were called in to fill out General Trust Scale, Social Support Scale and Satisfaction with Life Scale. All data were analyzed with T-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The major findings are: (A). College students see family members as the most important people in their life, followed by friends and classmates. (B) In terms of caution, significant difference can be found as male college students higher than female, juniors higher than freshmen, those who work part time higher than those who do not work then who lives off campus alone seem to be more cautious. (C) Female students perceive that emotional-accompanied and informational-tangible social support are better than males, while students take part in clubs percept more informational-tangible social support. (D) College students who have higher general trust and lower caution would positive correlative with emotional-accompanied and informational-tangible social support and life satisfaction, especially emotional-accompanied support strongly predict their life satisfaction.
Lastly, the research is meant to serve as inspirations for future research and may hopefully provide roadmaps for helpers in college contexts.
