虛擬實境(VR)能夠讓使用者進入一個完全不同的環境,這項特點使其有力於開發景點導覽工具。在近年的發展技術下,消費者等級的VR頭盔也開始進入市場,並且提供了高水準的實境體驗。
本文使用Unity3D遊戲引擎,結合了3D地形、環場影片、文字導覽等內容,開發出了一個在電腦環境運行的VR導覽工具,改善了只用手機為工具的VR體驗。為此,本文找到了結合空拍以及高度圖來建立3D地形的方法,並且可以適用在任何需要的地方。
本文會詳述研究方法、開發流程和系統架構。最後以使用者研究分析受測者進行來與過去的手機VR導覽進行優劣比較,同時評估系功能的體驗結果。
Virtual reality (VR) technology provides users with immersion and interaction, hence it is ideal for the application of virtual guide and tourism. We combine aerial videos and height maps to construct a 3D terrain. Then guide information is attached to its corresponding target in the virtual scene. The proposed virtual tour system is adaptable and scalable so that more locations can be added in the future. A user wearing VR head-mounted display (HMD) can navigate and interact in the 3D virtual scene using two hand-held controllers. At the end, questionnaires are collected and analyzed to reveal the pros and cons of the proposed virtual tour system.
