自由行成為近年許多旅客所偏好的旅遊方式,更是目前旅遊產業中不斷增長的旅遊型態。包車服務特性可以滿足旅客在行程中旅遊目的地之間移動的需求,成為國際旅客在交通工具上的選擇之一,進而使得臺灣的包車服務興起。過去學者指出旅客的旅程會因停留天數的長短而改變,且時間將影響旅客探索目的地的深度與數量。由此可見時間是旅行過程中有限的資源,它會阻礙旅客的路線模式,本研究旨在探討影響國際旅客赴臺旅遊使用包車的動機、選擇包車服務要素、行程安排考量因素。故本研究使用日記法紀錄旅客路線,針對司機導遊深入訪談和以焦點團體訪談來瞭解新加坡、馬來西亞和香港旅客在臺旅遊景點和路線的偏好,並應用地理資訊系統(GIS)分析與整合旅客偏好城市與停留時間差異且繪製出圖層。此外,本研究結果得出對旅客而言最重要影響的動機層面有五個要素為「交通模式之變量」、「靈活性」、「行程規劃與考量」、「同行旅客」和「過往經驗」。雖然旅客具有動機之外,會根據不同的考量要素去評估是否使用包車服務,考量因素則分別為「口碑效應」、「服務專業性」、「價格與預算」、「安全性與合法性」和「語言因素」。最後,根據前述三個國籍旅客不同的偏好與差異將路線移動資料,分析出兩個截然不同的移動類型作為包車業的基礎類型分別為「半島型(Semi-Loop Pattern)」和「中途停留型(Stopover Pattern)」。
Foreign Independent Tour has become the preferred modes of travel in recent years and is now an increasingly growing pattern of travel in the tourism industry. Charter service satisfies the transportation need of tourists to travel among tourist attractions in the itinerary. It has become one of the popular transportation options for international tourists when visit Taiwan. Previous studies suggested that length of stay is an important factor in affecting tourists’ arrangement of itineray. Therefore, this study aims to explore factors in affecting international tourists’ travel itinerary arrangement when they using charter service in Taiwan.This study have employed diary method, in-depteh interviews with driver tour guide and focus group interview with tourists from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong to find out the motivations in choosing charter service as well as preferred tourist destinations and itineraries in Taiwan. The differences in the cities of visitors’ preference and duration of stay were analyzed and integrated using Geographic information system (GIS) and plotted into diagrams. This study identified five motivational factors in selecting charter service namely, “variance in transportation model,” “flexibility,” “itinerary configuration and consideration,” “travel companion” and “previous experience.” In addition, tourists will consider factors when choosing charter service company which are “word of mouth,” “professionalism of service,” “price and budget,” “safety and legitimacy” and “language.” Finally, this study proposed two distinct patterns of charter models and they are the “semi-Loop Pattern” and “Stopover Pattern.”
