尋求父母認同為子女的普遍性經驗,而具有父母認同需求的成年早期子女(二十二歲至三十五歲),如何知覺父母認同以及產生的內在歷程與行為因應,以及其對生涯發展的影響,即為本研究之關注焦點。成年早期子女可能會視父母認同為自我價值感的來源,因而不斷尋求父母認同和接納。同時,成年早期子女常以生涯發展為尋求父母認同的方式之一。由於父母認同與期望對子女的重要性,生涯抉擇易受父母的認同程度影響,進而影響其生涯選擇與評價。本研究欲探討:一、成年早期子女尋求父母認同之心理歷程,二、成年早期子女的知覺父母認同程度與分離個體化對生涯發展之影響。透過現象學方法的存在理解精神,研究者嘗試理解成年早期參與者尋求父母認同經驗,及其在生涯轉換與選擇的置身所在。研究結果顯示:成年早期子女尋求父母認同的心理歷程包含「認同父母」、「朝向理想子女的發展方向」、「返回自我的渴望」、「成為理想子女與返回自我的擺盪」、「離開父母期待的軌道」以及「關係與認同的整合」。成年早期子女對父母認同的知覺與分離個體化,對生涯發展產生「內化的生涯期待之轉化」,「梳理期待,朝向自我生涯」,以及最後「生涯期待整合」的三大歷程之影響。
Seeking parental identification is the universal experience of children. The focus of this study was people in early adulthood (aged 22 to 35) with parental identification needs how to perceive parental identification, including the internal process and behavior response, and its impact on career development. In early adulthood, people may regard parental identification as the source of self-worth, so they constantly seek parental approval and acceptance. At the same time, early adulthood children often take career development as one of the ways to seek parental identification. Due to the importance of parental identification and expectation to children, their career choices are easily affected by the perceived degree of parental identification, which in turn affects their career choices and evaluations. This study aimed to explore:first, the internal psychological process of seeking parental identification in early adulthood. Second, The influence of parental identification and separation-individualization on career development in early adulthood. Using research methods of phenomenology, this study tried to understand early adulthood participans’ experience of seeking parental identification, and their situatedness in career transitions and choices. The results showed that the psychological process of people seeking parental identity in early adulthood included “identifying with their parents”, "moving towards the direction of ideal children", “the desire to return to self”, “between becoming an ideal child and returning to their self”, “leaving the path of ideal child”, and “the integration of relationship and identification”. Early adulthood children’s perception of parental identification and the separation and individualization have an impact on the career development of the three major processes of “the transformation of internalized career expectations”, “organizing expectation, towards self-career”, and finally “integration of career expectations.”
