本研究擬探討台灣景氣循環與賦稅收入間的影響及其關聯性，其中列選了有證券交易稅、貨物稅、未指定用途之營業稅、印花稅及菸酒稅全國實徵淨額作為研究依據，以1994年1月至2017年12月期間共288個月觀察資料。運用國發會所編列之相關景氣循環基準日指標及台灣股市大盤指數高低點，探討比對台灣景氣循環及股市大盤基準日高峰、谷底間領先落後情况、影響程度關係，研究發現：
1. 賦稅收入為政府最主要的收入來源，顯示與景氣循環息息相關。
2. 台灣景氣在高峰時，菸酒稅為領先指標，印花稅為落後指標。
3. 台灣景氣在谷底時，貨物稅及印花稅為領先指標，證券交易稅為落後指標。
4. 股市大盤指數基準日期高峰時，印花稅為落後指標。
5. 股市大盤指數基準日期谷底時，未指定用途之營業稅為領先指標，證券交易稅落後指標。

The study is to investigate the lead-lag relationship between Taiwan business cycles and tax revenues, including the securities transaction tax, commodity tax, value-added tax, stamp tax, tobacco and alcohol tax. Data cover from Jan. 1994 to Dec. 2017, totaling 288 months. The stages of business cycles in Taiwan are recorded by the National Development Council of the Executive Yuan, while highs and lows of the weighted stock index in Taiwan are obtained from the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation.
According to empirical results of this study:
1.Tax revenue, the government's main source of income, is closely related to the booming cycles. When business in Taiwan is at peaks, the tobacco and alcohol tax is considered a leading indicator, whereas stamp tax is a lagging indicator.
2.When business in Taiwan is at lows, commodity tax and stamp tax are leading indicators, the securities transaction tax is a lagging indicator.
3.When the weighted stock index in Taiwan is at peaks, stamp tax is a lagging indicator.
4.When the weighted stock index is at lows, the value-added tax is a leading indicator, while the securities transaction tax is a lagging indicator.
