This study focuses on creative behavior and the creative process in achieving artistic healing via emotional expression. The author firstly explores what emotions are and what factors can cause emotional turmoil. The author then examined how his own creative behavior releases emotional stress, thereby bringing about artistic healing. The author attempts to unravel the problems of emotions that cannot be expressed in words so as to uncover the hidden memory symbols of inner emotions as well as the influence and messages they convey. The author's self-interpretation by means of self-analysis of his own creation achieves the effect of self-artistic healing by means of creation. To prove that the creative act helps the author to express emotions, this study adopted a method of studio process to record the changes of emotions in creation. The author also tried to adjust the recording method in the studio process in response to personal creative habits and media limitations. The author used the original structure of the studio process to extend and design a process that is suitable for the author to record his creations. Apart from the original intention of creation, creation process, and testimonial writing, three new parts, namely time description, pre-creation emotional sorting, and post-creation self-examination, were added to help this study record the emotional flow of three-dimensional composite media creation as well as the emotional flow and changes more effectively. Finally, this study analyzed the works of the author with the creative records of the studio process. It also analyzed the emotional differences in the three periods, prior to, during, and after the creation, to prove that the author confronts his inner emotions through creation. By analyzing the flow of emotions during the creation period via the records of multiple stages, the author engaged in a dialogue with himself through a self-analysis of creation. The works created become the motivation for the author to actively face the problems and go on. In the end, the author chose "Seeking oneself while lost" as the theme of the solo exhibition, summarizing all the works and presenting the conclusion of the author's artistic self-healing using the studio process.
