伴隨2000年「不只是人類地理學（more-than-human geographies）」的興起，人類對於世界的探知與關懷，逐漸從人類中心主義的取徑，轉往對非人生物的重視。不僅，揭示人類是由多重關係組成的命題，也透過空間的視野，重新觀看人類與非人生物之間的糾纏與互動。本論文立基在此命題下，聚焦於穿透在不同類型與空間中的「園藝治療」裡，「人與非人生物」之間的多重關係。園藝治療，是一憑藉植物與園藝工作，療癒與照顧人類健康的方法。其核心主張，是將植物視為療癒的來源，且透過人類與植物的相遇與互動，作為照顧的養分；在照顧過程中，「關係」是園藝治療得以施做與介入的核心基礎。因此，本文以「關係」作為理解人與植物經驗的主要視域，從「關係」出發，揭示人類、植物、以及其他非人角色如何組成「我們」，指出鑲嵌於「園藝」過程中的情緒、物質、身體，以及權力關係的所在與經驗，以此理解療癒與照顧的意義。

　　我以參與觀察、深度訪談與次級文本的收集，從而描繪長期於東部提供園藝治療服務的安安農場（化名）之經驗，尤其主要關注研究執行期間，農場所服務的矯正機構弟兄、以及長照單位高齡長者的療癒現場作為主體，以此打開關係裡相互牽制、又相輔相成的經驗大門。安安農場，將「社區型園藝治療」作為助人工作的一環，透過安安農場服務的對象，觀察園藝治療如何在資源、需求與期待裡從事照顧工作，也形成符合目標與效益的關係，並且讓植物以不同的角色參與人們的日常照顧。

　　首先，我主張植物的生物性，部分決定植物與人類在關係中的位置。一方面植物是被照顧的物質，但同時也是召喚人類情感或情緒的核心，並成為「共作」與形成被照顧者「歸屬」的關鍵。其次，也由於不同植物的生物性、不同被照顧者的身份以及園藝治療所產生的空間之多元，使得「人-植物關係」成為介於差異、磨合與組成的動態過程。此一動態隨時變動的過程，卻不見得失序；植物與人的互動作為一種機制，讓照顧工作能夠介入或鞏固「照顧者-被照顧者」之間的關係與秩序，使得不同空間尺度或空間類型下的療癒過程與關係，是恆定的關係身體，但也是蘊含彈性、情緒與動能的身體關係。第三，我也強調這種流動與穿梭的關係，使得「因物/人而異」與「適地適性」的選擇，成為了植物與人類的生命力，被照顧者與植物之間的互動，成為體現自我經驗的情感地方．使人與植物都有重新被看見與詮釋之可能。適合之關係，不僅拼回了植物與人們「活著 (being)」與互動的機會，也成為賦權與能動的契機。

　　以上主張也從而揭示本文試圖以園藝治療，重新省思在多重關係為基礎構成的照顧意義。照顧，雖是以關懷與益處為基礎的施為，但也是在關係裡「理解差異」與「看見不同」的途徑，而不僅是在正確與責任裡的抉擇。關係不只是「我們」的組成，同時也是在「我」與「我們」之間的取捨與協商，並且從其看見「人-植物關係」如何在日常生活裡形成支撐不同生命的記憶、情感與意義。

　　With the rise of "more-than-human geographies", human’s understanding and concern for the world is gradually shifted from a human-centered approach to a greater emphasis on non-human beings. Through the vision of posthumanism, it reveals the world is composed of diverse species and beings. This research is based on the vison of more-than-human geographies to examine the interactive relationship between humans and other species in the Anthropocene.

　　By applying depth interviews and participant observation in this research, I draw my attention on ‘An-An Farm (anonymous)’ that provides horticultural therapy services in Eastern Taiwan. To concern how the human-plants relationship embodies in horticultural therapy projects with specific space-time contexts. By drawing on these experiences, I have a deeper understanding of the importance and significance of gardening and the role of plants in human’s everyday life and experiences, as well as how the human and plants influence and construct mutually.

　　I argue that, firstly, people do the care work by means of planting and gardening; plants become ‘lively commodities’ and human is a materiality with vitality. Bodies of human and plants become the part of the rehabilitation program. However, when plants appear in various ways, the authenticity of plants begins to affect human’s emotions and reverse tough situation from their life. In other words, plant has become the active actor that co-constructs human’s experiences and meanings of life. Secondly, plant’s survival becomes cultivators’ prime concerns when plant is seen a cultivated crop. Constructing ‘suitable’ relationships and applying ‘proper’ cultivatable methods enable humans to establish place of belonging through planting and gardening. Through multiple roles and interactive relationships between plants and humans, these healing projects are not just about healing and care, but also ‘body projects’ about discovering new opportunities among human-plant relationships through the coordination of different experiences, the interplay of emotions, and transformative processes.
