虛擬實境 (Virtual Reality, 以下簡稱 VR) ,是利用電腦生成一個虛擬的三維空間場景,提供使用者視覺、聽覺等感官的體驗,近幾年虛擬實境技術快速發展,消費者等級的 VR 頭盔也加速進入消費主流市場,即使是消費者等級的虛擬實境設備也能讓使用者彷彿身歷其境,比起過去,現在的虛擬實境更能夠展現其真實性,能夠破除時間以及空間限制立即體驗旅遊景點之導覽。
本文將用HTC Vive Pro Eye搭配Unity3D創建一個讓使用者使用直覺且沉浸旅遊導覽體驗系統,本文所設計的系統也將易擴充性此項特性加入,由於此特性的加入讓開發者只需透過簡單的幾個步驟就能夠輕鬆擴充新的景點,對於使用者來說也能減少使用上的麻煩。本系統也將導入HTC Vive Pro Eye的眼動追蹤特色,讓使用者除了透過手持控制器之外還能使用眼睛當作與物件互動的輔助操作體驗,本文的場景內容會包括場景地形、文本介紹、環場影像、自動導覽及眼動追蹤之應用。
Virtual Reality (VR) technology can provide a simulated experience with immersion and interaction. Therefore, VR is very suitable for the application of virtual tourism guide. To improve the interaction using only VR controllers, we add an eye tracking interface in that users wearing HTC Vive Pro Eye can trigger virtual tags simply by gazing at a target of interest. To increase the scalability to add more locations easily, we combine Google Map terrain textures with open source height maps to make realistic 3D virtual scenes. The proposed virtual tour guide integrates drone captured videos, 3D virtual scenes, and attached text tags to provide 3D visual experience and natural interaction with eye tracking.
