Based on field observations and personal experience, this research asks whether there are any new women farmers who have the same idea of "slash career" like me, and it has been implemented. Why do they choose to take a slash career? What have they experienced in this? Therefore, the purpose of this research is to explore the current situation of new women farmers taking a slash career. This research uses semi-structured interviews for data collection, through purposive sampling three new women farmers, and re-presents the story of the new women farmers and their significance through narrative analysis. The following conclusions of the new women farmer's slash career. The growth experience and environmental issues of the new women farmers have become the key to being a farmer. They choose the farmer independently to show their subjectivity and initiative. At the time, because their personal profession showed a different job appearance from the part time rural women in the past, the current situation and social capital created a work option that coexisted with livelihood and ideals. Finally, I found that in the process of slash career, although it needs to be adjusted continuously, but the local support system has become the biggest support, and there also many goods between farming and work. The recommendations are divided into two parts. The first part puts forward recommendations on practices and policies. I hope that the policies will be closer to the needs of farmers and be effective in educating the public. I also look forward to seeing cross disciplinary talents can bring innovation based in the countryside. In terms of future research suggestions, I hope increase the number of participant observations and interviews in order to obtain a complete research conclusion. It is also hoped that there will be research that can further explore the relationship between part time work and rural issues. |
