卡巴列夫斯基F大調第三號奏鳴曲，作品46創作於1946年，該創作係例證俄國本土樂風及新古典主義音樂特徵之作品；卡巴列夫斯基出生於俄國大革命思潮風起雲湧及浪漫主義音樂風格逐漸式微雙重激盪之年代，該澎湃之時代背景醞釀出多樣化之音樂形式，不僅民族音樂元素取材多元而廣泛，且在古典主義及浪漫主義原有之基石下，揉合出富具劃時代意義之音樂曲風。
本樂曲詮釋報告旨在探討卡巴列夫斯基所處當代俄國之社會氛圍及社會背景，並透過曲式、調性、拍號、旋律、和聲、對位及節奏等音樂元素之分析、深入瞭解卡巴列夫斯基揉合新古典主義音樂形式及俄國本土樂風之創作技法，另本文嘗試檢視此奏鳴曲全曲3個樂章所蘊含之各類音樂特質，以使演奏者能敏銳察覺作曲者於樂曲中所展現之創作跡證，例如英雄主義（風格）、愛國主義（風格），戰爭情境（風格）及俄羅斯民謠（風格）等，並適時針對指法、樂曲詮釋及彈奏方式等提出個人淺見。
最後，本文擬於作品分析過程中，適時評點卡巴列夫斯基鋼琴作品中之獨創風格，期藉由相關研究心得，彙集成演奏者詮釋本曲之指引，以提升演奏者練習本曲之熱忱。

Dmitry Kabalevsky's Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 46, a masterpiece fully demonstrating characteristics of Russian music and Neoclassicism, was composed in 1946. It is during the time of Dimitri Kabalevsky’s birth with a historical background of dual ideological trends agitation resulting from Russian Revolution and Romanticism Decline that brought forth a new variety of atmosphere in music. The Russian composers of Kabalevsky's contemporaries were enthusiastic about not only widely collecting materials from Russian various folks but also wisely fusing the traditional and avant-garde composition skills based on the foundation established in the Classic and Romantic periods. The above-mentioned change and progress finally led to the birth of music with epochal achievement.
This report is consisted of five chapters, aiming to discuss Russia's social atmosphere and background in the time when Kabalevsky lived as well as exploring how Kabalevsky applied the music elements of Neoclassicism and Russian folk on his musical creation through analysis of music characteristics, including musical form, tonality, time signature, melody, harmony, counterpoint and rhythm.
Moreover, this report attempts to examine characteristics of music contained in three movements of Dimitri Kabalevsky's Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 46 for the purpose of enhancing a player’s conscious awareness of the trace evidence existing in this piano sonata, such as heroism, patriotism, scenes of war and Russian folks. And several suggestions had been offered in this report on issues relating to the fingering, interpretation and playing techniques.
Finally, the characteristics of Kabalevsky's piano masterpieces will be concurrently and adequately discussed in this report so as to serve as a guide to assist piano performers in interpreting and practicing this sonata with increased enthusiasm.
