本研究目的探討在愛滋污名化的背景脈絡之下，愛滋感染者的身份認同，採用質性研究中的敘事研究，了解愛滋身份納入其自我之歷程與內涵、其中的揭露經驗所代表的意涵，以及愛滋身份與其他身份的互動及影響。
本研究以立意取樣選取三位研究參與者，皆為成年男性，採用半結構式訪談大綱，各進行兩次深度訪談，並將內容轉錄為文本，並以敘事研究法中的「整體—內容」以及「類別—內容」進行分析。
本研究結果如下，第一，愛滋身份納入自我的歷程，共有確診期、轉變期與接納期三個時期，並且會隨著污名化經驗、人格特質、人際支持而受到影響。第二，愛滋身份納入自我歷程中的揭露行為，分為兩個階段，分別為「感染前期的揭露」及「自主選擇的揭露」，感染前期的揭露受到「信任」、「尋求陪伴與支持」、「愛滋污名」以及考量「孝道」所影響，在自主選擇的揭露此階段，愛滋感染者則能更有選擇的揭露。第三，愛滋身份與其他身份的互動及影響，分為「靈性身份」、「工作與學生身份」、「家庭身份」、「志工身份」、「親密關係身份」。
最後，研究者根據研究結果，分別針對專業助人工作者及未來研究提出建議。

The purpose of this study is to explore the identity of adults living with HIV in the context of stigma, using narrative study to understand the incorporation of HIV/AIDS identity into one’s self, and the meaning of disclosing experiences, as well the interactions and influences of the HIV/AIDS identity itself with other identities.
Three participants were selected by purposive sampling, all of them were male adults. Semi-structured and in-depth interviews were conducted and all of the contents were transcribed into texts. Further, the narrated texts were analyzed by the holistic-content and categorical-content approach from narrative analysis models.
The results of this study are as follows: First, the process of incorporating HIV/AIDS identity into self is developed as three periods: the diagnosis period, the transition period, and the acceptance period, which are affected by stigmatization experiences, personality traits, and interpersonal support.
Second, the disclosure of HIV/AIDS status is shown as two stages: "disclosure in the early stage of infection" and "independent choices of revealing". Disclosure in the early stage of the infection is affected by "trust", "seeking companionship and support", "AIDS stigma", and lastly, the consideration of "filial piety." At the stage of independent choices of revealing, people living with HIV can make more selective exposures.
Third, the interactions and influences between HIV/AIDS identity itself with other identities can be divided into "spiritual identity ", "worker and student identity", "family identity ", "volunteer identity ", and "intimate-relationship identity ".
Finally, based on the results, the researchers put forward suggestions for professionals and future studies.
