The tug of war is a popular team work sport at elementary school in recently years. However, the school also facing some issues about the dilemmas and its improving strategies for tug of war players’ training. The research purposes of this study as three part: first, summarizing the dilemma and its improving strategies for tug of war players’ training in a primary school of Haulien county; second, analyzing the consistence of dilemma and its improving strategies for tug of war players’ training under the perspectives of different stakeholders; third, integrating the feasible and potential improving strategies for tug of war players’ training under the current dilemma in this case study. Thus, we use a primary school of Hualien as a case study, and apply the literature review of dilemmas and its improving strategies for tug of war players’ training to summarize the factor about the dilemmas and its improving strategies, and then invite the stakeholders to give related opinions and suggestions for the questionnaire. This study applies the case study method and combines multiple approachs to get both quantitative and qualitative data, such as questionnaire, focus group discussion and interview, and all literary resources. Moreover, this study also invites eight teachers who participates the tug of war players’ training in a primary school to create a workshop for collecting data, analyzing results, and getting a consensus afterward. Finally, this study generated the conclusions as follows: 1. Among the dilemmas by the training of tug-of-war, the "high overlapping of members of the school community" is the first priority issue for the school; 2. The members of the workshop believe that encourage the players of tug-of-war to develop the specialties with their own capacities and timetable is the top priority for improvement strategies; 3. The analysis results selected by experts in this study will help individual schools to come up with relatively feasible strategies that are more suitable for improving the training plight of tug-of-war players, and apply them based on their scales and development mode. Develop relevant schools for tug-of-war competitions. Researcher also proposed some suggestions for the improving strategies for tug of war players’ training. |
