With increasingly complex social issues and family structures, youth counseling has become increasingly challenging. This research explores the experience and reflections of a previously run bicycle-course created by middle-school teachers for the benefit of high-care students. The goal of this innovative course is self-exploration through the act of biking and bike-repair. Simultaneously, through the act of biking together, the teachers connection with the student is enhanced. The beauty of this course lies in the student's increase of self-knowledge; learning how to interact with people; learning how to use language and empathy for improved relationships and to simply experience to joy of biking.In order to improve the effectiveness of how schools support high-care students with problems such as a negative self-concept and low learning motivation, a bicycle course was implemented in the semester of year 2020 followed by recommendations for the improved implementation of future programs. In using the bicycle-course and its subsequent proposed improvements as a research topic, the hope is to have more students benefit from such a course. Benefits include: planning and execution skills; ability to work in teams; problem solving skills; accumulation of learning achievements and finally increased self-confidence. Additionally, through the interaction with professionals in the workplace, students can receive guidance and are able to share their experience, thereby triggering their inner motivation to explore their career. Finally, the student can share his/her bicycle maintenance skills with the teachers and students, which apart from the joy of giving, also helps with the students sense of self-worth. The researcher designed the high-care multi-flexible bicycle course based on Taylor’s evaluation model and designed a total of 13 courses. Moreover, literature research was conducted for better understanding of intermediary education measures, followed by systematic discussions with the relevant administrative colleagues and teachers on the actual teaching situation of the high-care multi-flexible courses and the problems encountered in the operations of these courses. Adjustments were made during the course in order to create a high-care multi-flexible bicycle course suitable for the participation of high-care students of the school in subject.
