近年來,全球提出“碳中和”和“可持續發展”是對當前全球面臨的環境和資源挑戰做出的積極回應,且實現碳中和和可持續發展需要全球範圍內的合作與努力。在永續議題上,有世界工廠之名的中國市場如何因應更是吸引了全球的目光。中國主席習近平總書記在 2021 年主持召開中央財經委員會第九次會議時指出,要把碳高峰、碳中和納入生態文明建設整體佈局,實現國家經濟綠色發展。
有鑒於此,綠色創新在此過程中扮演著重要角色。對於企業而言,綠色創新不僅是應對環境壓力的需要,也是提高競爭力和可持續發展的重要戰略。通過投入研發綠色技術、改進生產工藝、推出環保產品等方式,企業得以降低生產成本、拓展市場份額,同時獲得社會和投資者的認可。
在實現碳中和和可持續發展的過程中,高層管理者掌握著公司決策的實際控制權,扮演影響企業創新的關鍵性角色。隨著社會發展和平權意識的提升,愈來愈多的女性抓住時代機遇成為董事長並直接參與企業的決策。因此,本文研究以 2009-2021 年中國 A 股上市公司為研究樣本,實證檢驗女性董事長對企業綠色創新的影響。研究發現,女性董事長的企業綠色創新顯著較男性董事長企業為低,且相較之於綠色實用新型專利,女性董事长的企業綠色發明專利綠色創新較負向顯著。本研究的發現為企業綠色創新研究提供了新視角,也對企業研發、人力資源等領域亦提供了實務面的建議。
In recent years, carbon neutrality and sustainable development have been proposed globally, which is a positive response to the current
environmental and resource challenges facing all over the world. Also,
achieving carbon neutrality and sustainable development requires
cooperation and efforts globally.
On sustainability, China, known as the world factory, even further
attracts the world's attention on how to respond. Therefore, China's
President, Xi Jinping, pointed out that carbon peaks and carbon neutrality should be incorporated into the overall layout of ecological civilization construction to realize the green development of the national economy when he attended the ninth meeting of the Central Financial Affairs Commission. Given this, green innovation plays a vital role in this process.
As for enterprises, green innovation is not only necessary to cope with environmental pressure but also an important strategy to improve
competitiveness and sustainable development. Enterprises can reduce
production costs and expand market share, gaining recognition from
society and investors at the same time by investing in research and
development of green technologies, improving production processes, and
launching environmentally friendly products.
In realizing carbon neutrality and sustainable development, the senior
management controls corporate decision-making and plays a crucial role
in influencing corporate innovation. With the development of society and the promotion of peace-right awareness, more and more females seized the opportunity to be chairpersons and participate in corporate decision-making directly. Consequently, this research referred to the sample of A-share listed companies in China from 2009 to 2021 and empirically examined the impact of female chairs' participation in corporate green innovation.
According to the findings, corporate green innovation in females-
chaired enterprises is significantly lower than peers chaired by males.Besides, compared with the new patents in green practicality, the Green Invention Patent of the enterprise chaired by females is significantly lower than those chaired by males. This study provides a new perspective on corporate green innovation and practical suggestions for corporate innovation and human resources.
