During the researcher’s time at the university, he visited Fahai Temple and acquired a strong interest in the murals in the temple. This is not only because of the exquisite character modeling content, skills, beauty and solemnity of the frescoes, more importantly was the fact that the murals contained and were based on Buddhist scripture and philosophy. (Frescoes of Fahai Temple) is one of the important frescoes in the Ming Dynasty and he thought its hidden belief value needed to be investigated and explored in the modern era. As this brought him great inspiration, it motivated him to conduct an in-depth study. The research process makes a comprehensive analysis of the frescoes of Fahai Temple, and through the reference and comparison of Buddhist scriptures, it has confirmed that the content depicted in the frescoes come from the Flower Garland Sutra, which is translated from Buddhist classics into Sutra images, and the Buddha, Bodhisattva and Dharma protector are integrated to form a complete Buddhist story. The researchers analyzed the color distribution and frescoes production in the (frescoes of Fahai Temple) by relevant literature, and selected three contemporary artists and works who have deeply studied Buddhist paintings for analysis, and absorbed the theory of creation as the point of his departure. After in-depth research, the philosophical thoughts of Buddhism are integrated into secular life, with the feelings of kindness, compassion, tolerance, gratitude and full of love, which is the most positive expression of Buddhist paintings created by researchers themselves, and also combined the most kind and beautiful interpretation of human nature together in order to create. In this study, four series of works are created: "Inside and Outside the Mountain", "Compassion is Like the Sea", "Meditation Song" "Future Buddhas", a total of 20 works. The subject matter revolves around the elements of (Frescoes of Fahai Temple), which is carried out from two aspects: material technology and philosophical connotation. It is experimented on the modern carrier in the form of frescoes. Each work’s performance is different. In its finality it created a picture, due to self-reflection and in-depth exploration, that differed from the period experienced in the university. The work is heavy but full of novelty and has a much clearer direction. Although it can be unpredictable as far as the future is concerned, but the determination to continue exploration seems much more certain.
