This study investigated the current situation of principals' leadership and teachers' willingness to be part-time administrators in public elementary schools in Hualien County, and explored the differences in teachers' perceptions of principals' leadership in different school backgrounds, with the intention of exploring the relationship between principals' leadership and teachers' willingness to be part-time administrators. In addition, the causal relationship between the variables were examined to examine the association between principals' leadership and teachers' willingness to be part-time administrators. The study began with a literature analysis to establish a research framework and theoretical foundation. A total of 635 questionnaires were distributed to 102 public elementary schools in Hualien County, and 5 teachers were randomly selected according to the number of classes in each school, 10 teachers were selected from classes 13 to 24, and 15 teachers were selected from classes 25 and above. for Windows 23.0 computer statistical package for descriptive statistical analysis, difference analysis, and correlation analysis. (1) Hualien County public elementary school teachers' awareness of the principal's responsibility for leadership is medium to high. (2) The willingness of teachers in Hualien County public elementary schools to serve as administrators was moderately high. (3) There was no significant difference in teachers' perceptions of principals' responsibility for leadership among different school background variables. (4) There were significant differences in teachers' willingness to serve as part-time administrators by school geographic type and class size. (5) There was a significant positive correlation between principals' leadership responsibilities and teachers' willingness to serve as administrators in Hualien County public elementary schools. Finally, based on the results of the study, the researcher propose recommendations for principals, school units, and subsequent studies.
