Purpose: The current study is dedicated to exploring the relationship between junior high school go players’ multiple intelligence development and their respective vocational Interest through a questionnaire. Method: Survey was conducted via convenience sampling. Altogether 145 questionnaires were issued to go players in PE classes from middle schools and 140 valid ones were retrieved with effective recovery of 96.5%. Data analysis was performed using tools such as descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product difference correlation analysis. Our findings indicate: 1.For middle school go players’ multiple intelligence development, mathematical intelligence ranks the highest; others, from high to low, are interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, existential intelligence, musical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence, kinesthetic intelligence, and naturalist intelligence. 2.For the vocational interest, enterprising type tops the list, followed by investigative type, conventional type, artistic type, social type, and realistic type. 3.As far as multiple intelligence development is concerned, players with less than 3 years of experience demonstrated higher spatial intelligence and naturalist intelligence than those with more than 5 years of experience. Male players showed higher mathematical intelligence compared to female players while female players’ spatial intelligence were significantly higher than that for male players. For vocational interest, players exceeding 4-dan performed better than those between 1 and 3-dan as far as enterprising type is concerned. Male players exhibited higher values for realistic type, investigative type, and enterprising type than those for female players. In addition, female players showed better performance in terms of artistic type. 4.There was a positive correlation between multiple intelligence development and vocational interest. Specifically, middle school go players’ kinesthetic intelligence and existential intelligence contributed positively to overall vocational interest.
