In now society, with fewer children and a declining newborn population, the number of pets will reach a golden cross rate in 2021. For the modern society, pets have subverted the previous role of pets only to protect home and guard the house. Instead, they have gradually replaced children, deriving the word "fur kid", also known as companion animals. Modern people have converted their feelings for children into spiritual dependence on fur kids, showing their parents' love and affection to their fur kids. In a society where the number of pets will exceed the number of newborns, taking pets to travel is a new type of tourism, and pet-friendly homestay has become an emerging competitive market. By 2022, there are only 2.2% of pet-friendly homestays in Taiwan, which is still an undeveloped field in a circumstance where the number of fur kids is increasing. This study uses the Porter five forces analysis to analyze the pet-friendly industry and uses the key value propositions in the Porter five forces analysis to obtain customers' demands. Under the environment of pet-friendly homestay, what service items can be provided to enable customers to make decisions about booking pet-friendly homestay. In addition, what are the barriers to entry in the pet-friendly homestay industry? Use the Porter five forces analysis to analyze the competitive strength and attractiveness of this market, for the reference of aspiring entrants. Using business model innovation, we applied a business model canvas for pet-friendly homestay, so that the industrial operation of pet-friendly homestay can be analyzed in different aspects. Under this existing business model, we will explore more development, such as using pet resources to create higher profits than ordinary homestay, such as pet products, pet food, etc., or making alliances with pet-friendly restaurants and animal hospitals to increase the possibility of uniqueness, Use the business model canvas to find innovative ideas and create a blue ocean strategy of pet-friendly accommodation.
