This study investigates the relationship between corporate social responsibility, financial performance and corporate reputation using Taiwan list companies for the period from 2014 to 2020. The corporate reputation index is construct from 18 financial and governance variables in 10 aspects, which used to test whether the reputation plays an intermediary role between financial performance and corporate social responsibility. The empirical results show that, through bootstrapping and partial least squares regression methods, this study finds that corporate reputation plays an intermediary role in the model of corporate social responsibility and financial performance. This study shows that (1) corporate social responsibility can improve corporate financial performance; (2) corporate social responsibility can promote the corporate reputation, and a good corporate reputation further promotes the improvement of corporate financial performance, that is, corporate reputation has an intermediary effect on the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate financial performance.
