The project approach developed and adopted by kindergartens mainly relies on teachers providing children with adequate learning contexts, emphasizing child-centered autonomous learning, and using multiple teaching methods and scaffolding to enhance children's constructive abilities. It focuses on facilitating children's participation in group discussions, helping them think and learn to solve problems encountered, and serves as a teaching strategy for teachers to implement their curriculum through a continuous cycle of problem-solving to make their project approaches better and more complete. In recent years, the global climate has been unusual, with global warming causing unexpected disasters such as melting glaciers, droughts, heavy rains, and heat waves. Therefore, it is necessary to review the gradual abnormal changes in the environment. Plastic pollution is the primary concern, and many countries have begun to establish regulations related to plastic reduction. Taiwan also began to implement plastic reduction policies in 2002 and extended the policies to campuses to cultivate correct plastic reduction concepts and encourage active plastic reduction behaviors as early as possible. This study used a qualitative action research method, with the research case being a class where the researcher implemented the project approach in a private kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to make the children aware of the relationship between the environmental crisis and plastic pollution and to provide relevant environmental education curriculum design and research results so that children can incorporate environmental protection concepts into their family education and learn the importance of cherishing the ecological environment. The conclusions of this study are as follows: I. Regarding the implementation of "Plastic Reduction Actions" with self-developed teaching materials: Humans need to make an effort for the catastrophe of the Earth and awaken the public not to produce plastic waste through advocacy. II. The influence of "Plastic Reduction Actions" on students: Under peer-assisted learning, it helps with the accumulation of experience in exploration and the enhancement of learning motivation. III. The influence of "Plastic Reduction Actions" on families: Extending teaching/learning activities to families and communities effectively enhances the awareness and competence of environmental protection. IV. During the "Plastic Reduction" action research, the researcher was able to make the teaching materials more in line with the teaching content within the cycle phase through constant reflection and revision.
