This study uses various external factors to develop an extended model to predict employees' acceptance of electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) founded on the technology acceptance model (TAM). EDRMS adoption and use are becoming increasingly prevalent among public sector organisations worldwide, including Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). This study conducted a quantitative research approach through a cross-section design, where data were collected using survey questionnaires distributed using Google Forms. In this study, 122 public sector employees using EDRMS were sampled. Inferential and descriptive statistics were used to analyse this study’s data. The results show that employees' attitudes toward EDRMS positively correlate with behavioural intention (BI) to use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly determine employees' BI towards EDRMS. However, trust, top management support and service quality did not affect employees' perception of usefulness. The study's findings are helpful by providing government department policymakers with a guide on understanding the factors influencing EDRMS adoption and usage in SVG government departments.
